We are members of the Brevard County Zoo, and since we live just a minute away, we like to take Ella for morning visits on the weekends. This morning, Ella enjoyed petting a particularly friendly giraffe. She also had a hands-on encounter with a rare albino alligator (the old saying "the animals are more afraid of you than you are of them" was definitely true in this case). Ella squealed, clapped and waved for a mother jaguar and her new cub -- understandably, that was not a petting exhibit. [Edit. - The title of this entry is a quote from one of Ella's early onesies.]
