I Love The Nightlife, I Got To Boogie...

Ms. Ella does not believe in sleeping between the hours of 1 AM and 6 AM, despite her mother's valiant efforts at nursing almost hourly. Even when Ella is not hungry during these hours, she doesn't want to be left alone and requires constant comfort to stave off heartbreaking cries. Donna and I work in shifts so we manage to eke out some sleep. Last night I was able to sing and rock Ella to sleep at about 5 AM with a little help from our friend the Womb Sounds Bear. I gently tucked Ella in and placed the bear at her feet, slipping silently away for a few hours sleep. I did not realize that the Womb Sound Bear has patented battery saving technology and would shut itself off in less than 30 minutes, inciting a veritable bassinet blitz. As I write this it is clear we are in for another weary night -- but I wouldn't change a thing.
